What tourist attractions in the Algarve can I visit by motorcycle?

You can start in the East, where the famous Ría Formosa Natural Park and coastal towns such as Fuseta or Olhao, Monte Gordo and, especially, Tavira stand out; a city full of history and streets that overlook the Gilao River, with a wide variety of restaurants and terraces. Very close to Tavira you will find the Island of Tavira, it is only accessible by boat, so you will have to rest from the motorcycle to enjoy its fine sand beaches. In Faro, you will find a unique historic center and its cathedral.

The center of Algarve is the place where sun and beach tourism is concentrated. Albufeira is its main city, where you can enjoy its wonderful beaches such as Praia da Oura or Beach Maria Luisa. In this area you will also find the towns of Vilamoura and Quarteira. The Benagil cave is one of the most impressive attractions to visit.

In the west of the region, you can enjoy Portimao: the urban center and Lagos: the tourist area, interesting for its historic center and its churches (Igreja de Santa maria ou da Misericordia or Iglesia Henrique). You will also find charming towns such as Silves and Carvoeiro. You should not miss the da Rocha beach, the cliffs of San Vicente and the small town of Sagres.
