If your driver's license is European and you want to rent a motorcycle up to 125cc, just present your type B car driver's license for more than three years.

If you are not a European citizen you have to carry an equivalent license in your country of origin, in this case an international card is recommended.

What is it like to drive a motorcycle in Casablanca?

Driving in Morocco in general is a real chaos. Casablanca is a very hectic city where you will find many cars, that the inhabitants do not usually respect the signs, they drive as they want and they whistle for anything. You must be careful with roundabouts and always keep a safe distance, because the stops are made without prior notice. With so much traffic, driving often slows down. At first it will be difficult to drive, but it's all about adapting.

As for the roads, most are in good condition and are two-way, with one lane in each direction. Within urban areas the maximum speed allowed is 60 km/h, on secondary roads 80 km/h and on highways 120 km/h. It is very common to find police checkpoints, although most of the time they stop you to exchange a few words. By law, the driver must wear a helmet, but the passenger does not. However, we recommend that everyone wear a helmet.

What are the advantages of driving a motorcycle in Casablanca?

Driving through Casablanca will certainly be an incredible and unique experience. You will enjoy much more freedom than driving a car, avoiding many traffic jams. Parking the motorcycle will not be a problem, since you can park it very close to the places you want to visit. Some car parks may cost you some money, so you will need to be vigilant. But parking the motorcycle is usually not very expensive.

What tourist attractions in Casablanca can I visit by motorcycle?

In Casablanca you can tour its streets on a motorcycle and visit its tourist attractions such as the famous King Hassan II Mosque, considered the third largest in the world, and La Corniche (The Cornice), the most important monument in the city. A few meters from the Corniche, is the Ain Diab beach and the famous Morocco Mall, a luxurious and large shopping center.

Like any Arab city, the Medina is in the center. Inside it you will find the Clock Tower, the Sidi Kairouani sanctuaries, the Bab Marrakech and Jédid gates, the Ould el Hamra mosque and the Jamma Souk. If you want to relax from the chaos and congestion, you can visit the Arab League Park, the Moroccan Jewish Museum or the Villa des Arts. In Mohammed V Square, you can see the statue of Marshal Lyautey and enjoy the water and music shows from the 1976 fountain.

If you want to get away from the city, you can go to the Anfa Hill, where the most luxurious mansions are and see another perspective of Morocco.

Do not miss the most festive side of the city. Enjoy its most famous atmosphere venues such as Maison B or the Sky 28 bar, and festivals, such as JazzBlanca or the Casablanca Festival.

Don't forget to try their most typical food such as Menchoula, Cuscus or Meslalla.
