Snowmobile tour Finland, Lapland & Arctic Circle

Day 1 - Kuusamo

We fly to Kuusamo, via Helsinki.



Arrival at Kuusamo airport, private transfer to Rukahovi hotel, accommodation, welcome and with breafing of the expedition

Day 2 Salla - 120

"Crossing the Arctic Circle"



Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to our motorcycle delivery base







Safe driving equipment and practice



We leave in Snowmobiles start of the safari in the direction of Salla (120 kms)



On the way we pass through the Arctic circle and also reach the top of the mountain "Ruuhivaara"



Then we will see the magnificent view of the surrounding desert until reaching the Russian border.



Lunch will be served at the visitor center of the Oulanka National Park.



Arrival in Salla around 4pm, accommodation in Tuvat Sallatunturin cabin, this afternoon we have a Finnish sauna and dinner

Day 3 Salla - Himmerki - 150

"Expedition to deep snow" (150 km)



Breakfast in Salla



Most of the day we will only see snow and white desert. We will start in the highlands, where



Nature is virgin. Surrounded by spooky tree shapes under the heavy load of soft snow.



During lunch we will stop in a small town. We will serve local specialties in a country house.



In the afternoon arrival at the spa of "Himmerki" next to Lake Kitka.



Arrival at the village of "Himmerki" at around 5:00 p.m., accommodation in wooden cabins

Day 4 Himmerki - Kuntivaara - 100

Kuusamo "(100km)



Breakfast in "Himmerki"



Snowmobiles in the direction of Kuusamo and the mountain "Kuntivaara"



In the morning we cross the great lake "Kitka" and we will arrive again to Ruka for lunch in "Rukan Salonki", a resort town where we will stay for the last night, but we are not done yet.



After lunch we will start up to the top of the "Kuntivaara" mountain.



In "Kuntivaar" lies the Natural Park very close to the Russian border. From the top we can see an exceptional view of the highest peaks of Russian Karelia.

Day 5 Kuntivaara - RUKAN SALONKI CHALETS & VILLA VESKARANTA - 50

We stop near a fishing village, in Isokenkaisten klubi, where a good breakfast awaits us and return to our base in Ruka. On the way we cross the vast forests and lakes of Kuusamo.



A stop at the Ollila Resort for a very good fish-based meal, in the typical fishing village of Sossonniemi



After lunch, we continue on a snowmobile to continue with the last part of the trip to Ruka, where we will have accommodation in a beautiful log cabin.

Day 6 RUKAN SALONKI CHALETS & VILLA VESKARANTA -

Breakfast at Rukan Salonki and transfer to the airport at the agreed time
