Day 1 Ljubljana - Ljubljana - 0

Welcome to sLOVEnia!



Take your time to settled in hotel, see the town or just rest in the hotel and get ready for our common adventure.Later we meet and we will talk about our plans for the next our common days and Tour presentation

Day 2 Ljubljana - 316

After breakfast as warm up and to get used to the engines we will ride in the direction towards Kranj. Shortly after we start the first serious winding road and head on to the Austrian border. Before crossing the border, we can stop for a break in Jezersko to get first impressions about engines, roads, views, ...After the descent into the valley of the Drava we will head towards Graz, where we will cross the state border after about 50 km and then drive along the local roads to one of the most beautiful Slovenian valleys, the Logarska dolina.Here we have the perfect opportunity for a lunch break.After refilling the energy our ride will take us past Pavličevo sedlo back to Austria, and then returning to Ljubljana via Jezersko.

Day 3 Ljubljana - Ljubljana - 300

After a morning coffee in Ljubljana, the path will lead us past Kranj towards to the village of Jezersko, where we will admire the Alps in all its beauty.After we cross the border at Jezerski vrh, we will reach the Austrian Carinthia through curvy roads and ride along the river Drava by the Fakker See to the next "mountain" stage Korensko sedlo.We drive downhill past Kranjska gora and drive through one of the most beautiful passes, the Vršič pass, to the valley of the emerald river Soča. We will follow this route to Most na Soči, where we will go uphill again and continue on narrow winding roads passing Podbrdo, before we start our descend to the lake Bohinjsko jezero.Here, we can stretch our legs and enjoy the views, or take the opportunity for a walk to the Savica waterfall, which is only 15 minutes away.Returning to Ljubljana will lead us through Pokljuka forests towards Bled and Radovljica.

Day 4 Ljubljana - Ljubljana - 290

Should we go for a swim?

Today we will head towards Slovenian Istria where the coastal city of Piran is waiting for us in all its colourfulness.

From Ljubljana, we will ride along Postojna (possible tour of the Postojna cave) to the Slovenian coast. After a short rest in Piran, we will pass the Croatian border and continue to Novigrad. Once we are there we will start to the heart of Istria and head to the final stage which leads us through Buzet, and end our journey in Ljubljana..

Day 5 Ljubljana - Ljubljana - 335

On this day we will go to the "bear area".While driving towards the southern Slovenian border, we will pass Kočevje on our way to Kostel.Then we will follow the border river Kolpa and reach Metlika, turn towards Novo mesto and drive along the local roads to Trojane.

We will end the day with a ride to Kamnik, passing the Tuhinjska dolina on our way back to the hotel.

Day 6 Ljubljana - Ljubljana - 300

Crossing Trnovski gozd will be a unique experience. The downhill ride to Ajdovščina and the crossing of the kraške planote will be covered with many beautiful roads, views and various types of landscapes.

As it would be a sin not to try local dishes, we have to take a break at the traditional restaurant “osmice” which only serves home-made food like Karst ham and match it with a sample of local wines, Teran or Malvasia. We will continue our journey towards the coastal city Izola, where we will take a coffee and enjoy the view of the harbour with its countless sailing boats.

On the way back to the starting point we will ride through Rakitna and Ljubljansko barje.

Day 7 Ljubljana - Ljubljana - 310

For the last day we prepared an exciting route with a ride past the medieval town of Škofja Loka, Žiri, Most na Soči and Solkan, ending in beautiful Goriška Brda. Definitely you will like the Slovenian Tuscany, because the locals from Brda, the "brici", are famous for their excellent home-cooked food in combination with top-quality wines.

Now we have nearly seen all the highlights of sLOVEnia, the only highlight missing is the Vipavska dolina, which we will pass on our ride back to Ljubljana through Razdrto.
