Driving through Gran Canaria is very practical and safe, although driving through its mountains can be quite a challenge, since it requires extreme concentration due to its narrow and winding roads. The speed limit in towns and cities is 50 km/h, on secondary roads it is 90 km/h and on the only two highways on the island, it is 120 km/h. Driving is on the right and the use of a helmet is mandatory. Breathalyzer tests are very frequent and the limit of alcohol in blood allowed is 0.5 mg.

What tourist attractions in Gran Canaria can I visit by motorcycle?

By motorcycle you can visit a wide variety of tourist attractions such as: the Dunes of Maspalomas, located in the south of the island, where you can enjoy the best beaches in Gran Canaria. In the small town of Puerto de Mogán, you can walk its streets and contemplate the white-painted apartments that surround them, to end up visiting the Molino Quemado.

The Roque Nublo, a volcanic monolith, is the symbol of Gran Canaria and that you can enjoy up close by parking your motorcycle and following the route on foot. Located in the center of the island, is one of the most beautiful towns in Spain: Tejeda. In it you can enjoy several museums, the Church of Nuestra Señora del Socorro and the Roque Bentayga.
